Architectural and structural design is produced by an appointed licensed consultant working under Miles' contract. MEP design is produced in-house by Miles under DEWA approval. The client holds a single contract with Miles.

Under a traditional contract the client appoints a consultant directly, then tenders the design to contractors, and holds two separate contracts. Under design and build the client holds one contract with Miles, which appoints the consultant and carries the construction risk.

Scope covers excavation and foundations, structural frame, blockwork and plaster, MEP first and second fix, internal finishes and joinery, and external works including boundary walls, driveways and landscaping. Recorded villa projects run from single-storey ground villas to G+1, on plots between 400 and 620 square metres.

Recorded projects include residential buildings of ground plus one and three typical floors, and retail and residential buildings of basement, ground, four floors and roof.

Structural frame and dome works, prayer hall finishes, ablution and sanitary installations, minaret construction, acoustic and audio provisions, and external works and parking. Prayer hall, ablution and minaret works are coordinated with the appointed consultant.

Miles holds a Dubai commercial licence activity for 3D printing building construction contracting, and its head of engineering is certified for 3D concrete printing by Dubai Municipality. Individual projects still require the normal building permit and authority approvals.

Walls and structural elements are printed on site by robotic arm, and wall panels can be printed off site and delivered. Landscape and outdoor elements are printed too. Foundations, slabs and MEP are built conventionally and integrated with the printed work.

No. A printed building still needs conventional foundations, slabs, MEP and finishes. Printing replaces the formwork and the blockwork, not the rest of the build, which is why it is delivered alongside conventional works rather than instead of them.

The layers are visible as a ridged texture across the surface. On the printed mosque in Dubai that texture is the finish itself rather than something applied afterwards, and printing allows curved and relief forms that would need bespoke formwork if cast.

Yes. Electrical and mechanical work connected to the Dubai network must be carried out under DEWA approval. Miles produces MEP design in-house under that approval, and holds Dubai licence activities for electrical fitting contracting and electromechanical works contracting.

Yes. Fit-out and renovation are carried out for existing residential and commercial spaces, covering strip-out and demolition, partitions and ceilings, joinery, MEP alterations, finishes, and snagging through to handover.

Both. Miles provides scheduled preventive maintenance as well as reactive repairs and emergency call-outs, covering electrical, plumbing, mechanical and structural components for villas and buildings in Dubai and Sharjah.

Yes. Joinery is produced for Miles projects and supplied directly to clients in Dubai and Sharjah, so a fit-out contractor or a private client can order without a Miles construction contract.

Custom carpentry, wood flooring, fitted furniture and wardrobes, internal doors, and kitchen and vanity joinery. Site installation and finishing are included. Carpentry and wood flooring works are listed on the Miles Dubai commercial licence.

Both. Scope runs from survey and measurement through fabrication, glazing, installation and sealing, to maintenance and replacement afterwards. Aluminium systems are covered as well as uPVC.
